Dear Fairbanks Families and Staff,
At last night’s regular Board of Education meeting, the board passed two resolutions. The first was to approve a master facility plan for Fairbanks Local Schools and the second was to enroll in the Ohio Facility Construction Commission’s Expedited Local Partnership Program.
Fairbanks Local Schools’ Master Facility plan will focus on Option Fairbanks. This plan will consist of 31,000 square feet of additions to the middle and high school, a complete renovation of the existing structure, a 7,000 square foot addition to the elementary school, and infrastructure work around campus to address traffic safety. This plan addresses several needs in the short and intermediate term, while laying a foundation for long-term facilities in Fairbanks.
For more information about the process and plan, please read the Facilities Executive Summary, view the presentation from last night’s meeting, and visit the Master Facility Planning webpage.
By February, there will be a timeline of next steps including design, upcoming meetings, and financing. If you have any questions, please email me at email@example.com.
Thank you to the parents, staff, students, and community members that have invested so much time over the last twelve months to get to this point. It is exciting to see the work we are doing together to build a shared future for Fairbanks.
