A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Welcome to Fairbanks High School! At Fairbanks we have PRIDE in our PAST, PASSION in the PRESENT, and we are PREPARING for the FUTURE.
PRIDE in our PAST: Fairbanks is rooted in tradition with generations of families remaining in or returning to the district. Academic and athletic programs are grounded in a history of success, and many alumni serve as teachers, coaches, and mentors. The community welcomes new families to share in our Panther Pride!
PASSION in the PRESENT: Fairbanks is focused on building strong, personal relationships that foster a culture of student success. Those relationships are evident in the classroom, on the field/court, in club activities, and service learning. We call ourselves, “an army of improvers,” striving to get 1% better every day. Staff and students adopt a growth mindset to ensure that we are giving our best and striving toward our collective goals.
PREPARING for the FUTURE: The district is committed to the future success of students for generations to come. Academically, we evaluate our programs to ensure that students are equipped to enter the workforce and postsecondary education. New programming opportunities are aligned to emerging labor demands, for example, VEX robotics and FFA. Currently, the district is engaged in facilities planning based upon current needs, future enrollment, and evolving career opportunities. The goal is to create “future proof” graduates who are capable of navigating an ever changing world.
