Special Education: Problem Resolution
To Parents of Special Needs students:
If you have any concerns about the implementation of your child's Individual Educational Plan (IEP), please contact the personnel in the order listed below to resolve any questions you might have.
- First contact the student's teacher in the subject area in which there is a concern to review how the IEP is being implemented.
- If the concern is not resolved by teacher contact, please contact your child's intervention specialist. This person was a member of team who helped write the IEP for your student.
- If the above two methods have not solved the question, please contact the principal at the school your child attends.
- If the issue continues, please contact the Special Education Supervisor, Ann Arthur at 937-349-3731 x1201.
- If the issue has not yet been resolved, please call Ellen Frasca at COSERRC- at 614-262-4545 or the Ohio Coalition for Education of Children with Disabilities, 800-374-2806. They can give you unbiased advice on the legalities of the situation and how to proceed next.
