Read the Nat'l Geographic article - "Back to the Future"
- Scan - Look through the text organizers in the article. Guess what the main idea will be and write it at the top of your paper.
- Question - Write five questions that you think will be answered by the end of the article.
- Read the article.
- Recite what each section is trying to tell you before you move on to the next section. - in your mind.
- Review what the entire memoir was telling you when you are done. - in your mind
- Put a check mark next to questions that you can now answer.
- Rewrite the main idea at the bottom of the paper if you have changed your mind.
