Choir Resumes...

FMS Choir rehearsals will resume on Thursday, January 12. Enjoy this week off!! Spread the word to those who don't check here.

We will be starting new music for the March concert!!!!

Time is crucial now- only 16-17 rehearsals!!!!

If you know of anyone that is interested in joining this is the time before we start new concert repertoire!!!

FMS Choir Rehearsal UPDATE

We will add Wednesdays starting next week. (There are no late starts)

Rehearsal schedule will look like this:

This week: Dec 1

Dec 6, 7, 8

Dec 13, 14, 15

Dec 19- first period (no a.m. rehearsal)

Reminder to be looking for a shirt for your daughter's section.

FMS Choir Winter Concert

The Annual Fairbanks Music Department Winter Concert will be held on

Monday, December 19, 7pm in the HS gym.

Performing Groups Include:

Sixth Grade Band
JH Concert Band
JH Concert Choir
HS Concert Choir
HS Concert Band

Choir members are to report to Mrs. Cooper for warm-up. Time TBA.

Dress code: The ladies will be dancing on one song- so please dress appropriately and comfortably.(Heels are not encouraged)

Sopranos: Black dress pants, red shirt of some sort, comfortable shoes

Altos: Black dress pants, green shirt of some sort, comfortable shoes

FMS Choir 5/26

Please come for our end of year breakfast party! In honor of all your hard work and early mornings this past year, we'll spend one last Thursday morning together watching the concert performance.

Fruit, juice, and donuts/muffins will be provided.

Spring Music Concert

Ladies are to be at the school by 6:30pm on Tuesday, May 24. We will warm in either the HS cafeteria or the HS band room at 6:40pm. Please look nice- school dress code applies to skirt length and shirts.

Members in the 6th grade band will leave their instrument with someone and join the rest of the choir in line by the cafeteria or on the risers (which ever happens first).

The girls have been working hard at building their fundamentals during our time off from concerts.

We will not participate in the mid-year concert as we continue to build the fundamentals of singing.
