Junior Sub Assembling TONIGHT 5:00 – Reminder, tonight’s sub assembling will begin at 5:00.We will meet in the HS cafeteria. We still need volunteers to help make over 700 subs! Please let Mrs. Wygle know if you are able to help.

Junior Sub Pick Up TONIGHT - All sub orders are to be picked up at 7 pm tonight. You must pick your orders up or make arrangements to get them as we do not have a way to store them!

Scheduling for next year- Current freshmen, sophomores and juniors are reminded to turn in your registration forms so we can enter your course choices next week.

Buckeye Boys State/Girls - Juniors: Do you like meeting students from other schools? Are you interested in social studies and how our government works? Then Buckeye Boys State or Buckeye Girls State is for you. These amazing week long summer opportunities are not just a learning experience, but a fun way to meet other juniors from across the state of Ohio. Please see Mrs. Studenmund this week for more information.

ITT Open House - ITT Technical Institute in Hilliard is hosting an Open House this Saturday, February 11th from 10am to 12pm . An informational nursing seminar will be held from 11am- 12pm. Make plans to visit and learn more about ITT Tech’s programs of study. All juniors and seniors are invited to attend.

Valentine Suckers - FCCLA is selling “Suckers for Love” this week in the cafeteria during lunch. You can buy your friend, crush or sweetheart a personal valentine with a sucker attached for 1.00. Suckers will be delivered on Valentines Day, February 14th.

Chocolate = LOVE; Pink = FRIENDS; and White = CRUSH.

Interact Club FRIDAY - Attention members of the Interact Club, there will be a meeting this Friday at 7:30 in Mr. Powell’s room. Please plan on attending and be on time.

Panther Idol Sign Ups - There is a sign up sheet in the office for anyone wanting to participate in this year’s Panther Idol.Tryouts will be held during lunch on February 21st or after school on February 22nd. The competition will be held on March 3rd.

Softball Sign ups - If you plan to play softball please sign up in the office.

Spring Sports Reminder - Students going out for Baseball and Softball are reminded that you must have a completed up to date physical form and other paper work turned in prior to the start of the season. Also, the $50 participation fee is due to the athletic office 1 week after the season begins which will be a due date of February 27.

Valentine Suckers - FCCLA is selling “Suckers for Love” this week in the cafeteria during lunch. You can buy your friend, crush or sweetheart a personal valentine with a sucker attached for 1.00. Suckers will be delivered on Valentines Day, February 14th.

AP and Dual Enrollment TONIGHT - Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors: Any students and parents who are interested in finding out more about our 5 AP courses or our 2 Dual Enrollment courses are invited to a meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.

Course Registration Signature Day TUESDAY - Underclassmen are reminded to have your registration forms with you on Tuesday for Signature Day.

Mock Trial - The teams both performed well, and their hard work definitely showed. Unfortunately, neither our Alpha Team nor our Omega Team will be advancing. We will have our last meeting tomorrow – Tuesday - after school until 4:00. Bring back your binders, and bring a snack to share!

Junior Student/Parent Prom Planning MeetingTONIGHT - There is a junior class meeting/prom organizational meeting tonight at 6pm in the HS cafeteria. This is for juniors and parents.

Bloodmobile Reminders –Reminder, the blood mobile will be here tomorrow.If you are signed up to give blood, make sure you eat a good breakfast, drink plenty of liquids and bring your photo ID.If you are 16 you will need to bring a signed parent permission slip.

The Red Cross will be bringing a big blood donation bus that will be parked between the school and the student parking lot. Participants would learn basic biology and chemistry principles. They are looking for highly motivated students who are interested in science. If that is you, this is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and experiences beyond the classroom. The course is July 9 – 14th and costs $75. Interested students should see Mrs. Studenmund in the guidance office.

Dugout Club Meeting SATURDAY – There will be a Dugout Club Meeting this Saturday at 12:30 pm in the cafeteria.The agenda for the Louisville trip will be discussed as well as use of funds for baseball team.

Youth 2 Youth Lock In TONIGHT - Youth 2 Youth will host a drug and alcohol free lock in event tonight at the YMCA from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The evening will feature Music, Pizza, Kinect, Movies, games and more. Stop in the office for a permission form.

FAFSA Workshop TONIGHT - Seniors: Just a reminder to you and your parents that there is a FAFSA workshop tonight, at Marysville High School from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. The three county schools have a combined night where financial aid personnel from OSU-Marion will be there to assist you in the FAFSA process. Youth 2 Youth Lock In - Youth 2 Youth will host a drug and alcohol free lock in event this Friday at the YMCA from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The evening will feature Music, Pizza, Kinect, Movies, games and more. Stop in the office for a permission form.

Drama Club – Drama Club will meet on Tuesday January 31st to discuss the Spring Play options and brainstorm on ways to make a good thing even better. Bring your ideas on how to improve the already good Drama club experience. We would like to make it GREAT!!!!

Grade Cards Published – Reminder, grade cards were published today on Progress Book. Just click on “Report Card” in Progress Book to view grade cards.

Fairbanks Soccer Booster Meeting - The FHS Soccer Boosters will be meeting on Wednesday, January 25 at 7:00pm in the middle school cafeteria. Officer elections will take place at this meeting, and we will begin discussions on the 2012 budget. All soccer parents are welcome and encouraged to attend this important meeting. We hope to see you there!

Athletic Booster Meeting - The next Athletic Boosters Meeting will take place on Monday, January 23 at 7:00pm in the high school teachers lounge. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Distracted Driving Information Night for Parents TONIGHT – Students, please remind your parents, to join us tonight in the high school cafeteria from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. for an informational meeting on Teenage Distracted Driving. A speaker will present information to parents on how to help your teen drive safely. There will be great information as well as a simulator that the parents may try to experience the effects of distracted driving. We hope to have a good turnout for this important topic that impacts us all.

There will be great information as well as a simulator that the parents may try to experience the effects of distracted driving. The FHS students will have the opportunity to experience the simulator during lunches the two weeks after the parent meeting. We hope to have a good turnout for this important topic that impacts us all. Students are encouraged to talk with your parents and invite them to attend our Parent Evening on Distracted Driving.

Matchmaker Survey - Were you absent the last days before break? Did you miss filling out the Match Maker Survey? If yes- see Mrs. Smeenk to fill yours out ASAP.

Senior Scholarships - Seniors who are varsity athletes with a minimum of four varsity letters are eligible to apply for the Northwest Central Conference Jon Shively Memorial Scholarship. Also, minority students who are seeking a degree in journalism are invited to apply for the Ohio Newspapers Association Minority Scholarship. See your email or Mrs. Studenmund for more information on both of these scholarships.

FCCLA Meeting TODAY - FCCLA will meet today from 3-4 . If you did not attend yesterday, please plan to attend today.

School Store – The school store is open all this week during lunch. Pick up an order form or check out what we have in stock. Sundae Sale this Friday. All sundaes 1.50

Mock Trial - Mock Trial meets today until 4:30 and Saturday at 9:00 a.m.

Softball Open Gyms - Softball open gyms will begin on Monday, January 9th from 3:30-5 at the Milford Center gym. They will be held on Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 3:30-5.

Menu – Today:Oriental Chicken Bowl or bacon cheeseburger, peas and fruit. Friday:Pizzeria Pizza or corn dogs, fresh veggies and fruit.

Hallways Today - Tonight’s freshman game begins at 4:30p.m. The gates will be locked at 3:45p.m. Please have everything from your lockers prior to the gates being locked.
