Seventy-five members from the Fairbanks FFA chapter attended Farm Science Review on September 22. While at the Farm Science Review members were able to see all of the new technology advancements in agriculture that have occurred recently. They were also able to learn about the important issues in agriculture today, such as animal welfare, and biotechnology. The students completed a scavenger hunt with various industry professionals and had to interview them to complete the answers. Such businesses that were visited varied from the Ohio Simmental Association to Pioneer Seed. They also had to ask equipment dealers about a piece of machinery and how much the cost of the equipment is brand new. Farm Science Review is a great opportunity for students to learn and interact with members of our current agriculture industry.
