Board Meetings
Five citizens, elected from our community, comprise the Board Of Education which regularly meets to consider reports and recommendations from the Superintendent and Treasurer of the School District.
Setting policy and taking action to assure these policies are carried out is the primary responsibility of the Board.
Of course, board members must study numerous reports and background information to be prepared for these meetings.
The board's meetings are planned in advance and include topics proposed by the superintendent, board members, and the treasurer. After discussion, votes are taken on the proposed recommendations.
The Fairbanks Board of Education meets at 7:00pm on the third Monday of every month, and the meetings are open to the public. Announcements and schedule changes can be found in the Marysville Journal Tribune. If you wish to address the board, you must contact the District Treasurer (x. 1203) at least one week prior to the board meeting. Please inform the Treasurer of the subject you wish to bring before the board so that the Board President can be informed prior to the meeting. If you are presenting as part of a group, the board requires the name of your spokesperson.
You are always welcome to attend our board meetings, and we hope you become an active member of our school community.

Board Vice President - Jaynie Lambert
My husband and I chose to locate in the Fairbanks School District 15 years ago. Both of our children, Brittany, 2005 and David, 2007 received a excellent education which allowed them to go on to Universities of their choice. Although I help run our family business, I have a degree in education and over 10 years of classroom experience. I believe this helps me see the whole educational picture. I also volunteer in the elementary and actively attend sporting, community, church, and extra curricular events. Quality education and the children of our community are very important to me, and I have been honored to serve the grandparents, parents, and children of our district by serving on the board since 2002.

Superintendent - Bob Humble
Let me begin by saying how fortunate I feel to be a part of Fairbanks Local School District. My time spent here has been among the most cherished experiences of my professional life. My family and I truly admire and appreciate all that makes Fairbanks such a wonderful district.
Originally from southwestern Ohio, I grew up in Clermont County, just outside of Cincinnati. My wife, Wendy, teaches 5th grade at Buckeye Valley Schools. One of my sons attends Fairbanks High School while the other is a staff sergeant in the US Air Force.
I earned my bachelor's degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1983 and received my master's degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1997. I completed additional coursework at Xavier University from 1998-2003 for my superintendent's license.
My educational experience before coming to Fairbanks includes six years of teaching, four years as a middle school principal, four years as high school principal, and two years working in curriculum and personnel.
I am very pleased to have the privilege of serving the Fairbanks community and pledge to uphold the high standards of our district.
Go Panthers!
