Accessibility Statement

This is the official accessibility statement for the Fairbanks Local School District. We have tried to make our home page as accessible as possible by constructing our pages using valid XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS, wherever possible. Access Keys

Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the web site. On Windows you can press ALT + and access key; on Macintosh, you can press Control + and access key.

Most pages on this site use the following access keys:

Standards Compliance

The majority of our pages are written in valid XHTML 1.0 Strict and uses CSS for layout and decoration. By adhering to the standards set forth by the W3C we hope to make our site accessible to everyone.

This site uses relative font sizes, compatible with the user-specified "text size" option in visual browsers. Please note that extremely large font settings may alter the layout of the page. If your browser or device does not support stylesheets (CSS) at all, the content of each page is still readable.

Note: the Calendar and Photo Gallery sections of our site were created by outside parties and may not be as accessible as the rest of our site. We have tried to add as many accessibility features as possible, without impacting their core functionality. Our hope is that their developers will continue to strive for standards compliance.
