Enrollment Policy - District Residents

Welcome to the Fairbanks Local School District! The district has centralized enrollment. You must register your child at the Board of Education office (Entrance B, in front of the Middle School).

To enroll your child in the district, please see the steps outlined below:

Step 1: Download the enrollment packet here:

2017-2018 Student Enrollment Package or 2018-2019 Student Enrollment Package

Step 2: Bring the completed and signed enrollment packet along with the following documents:

  • Proof of Residence: Gas, water or electric bills, and lease agreements (when stated that utilities are included), in the parent/guardian’s name are the only accepted forms. If you are living with someone and do not have a utility in your name, a Residence Affidavit must be completed.

  • The child’s birth certificate (It must be the original, state-issued certificate. We do not accept the “footprints” certificates produced at the hospital.)

  • Immunization records

  • Custody papers, divorce decree, or separation papers

Step 3: Complete Final Forms online emergency medical forms for your child(ren).

Step 4: Once the enrollment paperwork and Final Forms are complete, you will need to contact the building where the child will attend for scheduling:

  • Elementary (Grades Pre-K - 5): Jessica Rausch at 937-349-9000 x.2100

  • Middle School (Grades 6 - 8): Marla Grimes at 937-349-6841 x.1400

  • High School (Grades 9 - 12): Lisa Studenmund at 937-349-3721 x.1302

Typically it takes a minimum of 24-48 hours to process enrollment paperwork. Your child cannot attend until all enrollment paperwork has been completed. The Fairbanks District cannot contact school districts to get this information; it must be provided by the parent/guardian prior to the enrollment of your child in the Fairbanks District.

If you have questions, you may contact the enrollment staff. Office hours are August - May: 7:30AM - 4:00PM and June - July: 7:30AM - 3:00PM.
